Positive Psychology: Cultivating Strengths & Meaning

Positive Psychology isn’t about ignoring life’s challenges—it’s about building the skills and mindset to thrive despite them. Rooted in evidence-based practices, this approach focuses on:

  • Identifying and amplifying your strengths (not just fixing what’s “broken”).
  • Fostering hope, meaning, and purpose in daily life, even during transitions or adversity.
  • Developing practical tools for resilience, gratitude, and values-aligned action.

In our work together, we’ll use techniques from Positive Psychology to help you:

  • Shift from surviving to thriving by recognizing what’s already working in your life.
  • Cultivate self-compassion and sustainable habits for long-term well-being.
  • Create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling, grounded in your core values.

Perfect for those ready to move beyond coping—and toward growth, agency, and joy.

I provide counseling to individuals and couples ages 18-90. We will build your life collaboratively and action-orientedly, rooted in CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed principles. Sessions are available in Portland and Clackamas and via secure telehealth across Oregon.
